Lets get straight to the point. I have found an oppression in the Body of Christ or in churches. Yes Oppression. It is a sad thing when pastors control and lord over the children of God. The bible tell us to love and encourage young and old ministers, but there are some pastors who keep their foot on the neck of up and coming preachers and that is just wrong.
We need to esteem others better than ourselves ( Philippians 2:3). The bible instruct us in Philippians 2:3-5
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other
Better than themselves. V4, Look not every man on his own things, but let every man also the
Things of others. V5, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
It is clear that we should be concern with helping others more that ourselves.
Recently I have received calls from aspiring preacher, teacher, and evangelist who feel out of sorts, because the pastors have gotten so involved with money and promoting themselves that they miss the blessing right under their noses.
Jesus is not pleased with pastors who scatter the folk and who are in the ministry for the money and fame. The bible instructs preachers:
2 Corinthians 4:5, For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Christ sake.
Also in John 10:12-13
But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, who own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattered the sheep. v13, The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
Some pastor are wolfs in sheep clothing. They could care less about promoting Jesus and the gospel, they could care less about helping new up and coming preachers, they’ve become intimidated by the David in their mist. Instead of helping, they tear down and discourage. This foul behavior must stop and be repented of immediately.
The Abundant Life Christian Center is here to help up and coming pastors and to plant 100 church’s. The message of the cross needs to be shared with everyone. Bishop James assignment is to help you find your mission and help pastors to lead the lost to Christ.
